Firstly I would like to congratulate you on considering the addition of a Boxer to your life. If the Boxer is the right fit for your family, you will never find yourself alone, as they are always by your side; never sad because they are true jokesters and can make you laugh just by watching their antics; you will never feel unsafe as they are alert to even the smallest disturbance both inside and outside of your home; and you will never be cold because you will have their body heat to warm you as they most likely will be wanting to be on your lap, snuggled next to you in a chair or lying beside you in bed.

We are a small family based kennel located  in Sydney, Nova Scotia with one breeding bitch, bred no more than once every 2 heat cycles and one male that will be soon available to stud. Although both dogs had show careers, they were family pets first. Having a Boxer that fulfills the role of family companion and show dog involves significantly more time, money and training but is very gratifying when your dog finishes as a Canadian Champion while being that constant loving member of your family.

My dogs and puppies are true members of my family. With that being said, it is also important to understand that a Boxer needs to know his place in your family and that he is beneath all other beings already living in your home. They can have a dominant personality which could lead to problems with discipline and behavior in the future. Your boxer must respect you, your child (regardless of age) and other animals existing in your home. This will make training and handling of your Boxer easier.
